A winner.

Johanna's painting "Group Hug" was awarded "Artwork Best Representing Theme" in the Historic Beverly art exhibit "Strength, Perseverance and Hope" which emphasized our pandemic experience.

The art was judged by art specialists, but also by some people from the local community– which made it even more special to me.

Her other painting "Last Hug," also in the exhibit, depicted the show's theme as well– almost more so, as it features a good friend who truly experienced strength, perseverance and hope.

Cuba Exhibit

July 26, 2013 at Phillips Andover Academy- Gelb Gallery 

Johanna traveled to Cuba on a rare cultural tour hosted by famed American Ballet Theatre principal José Carreno to explore the arts, dance, music, and colors of his native country- Cuba.
The paintings exhibited along with a video presentation were inspired by the experience, and often ‘behind the scenes’ view of the arts that are Cuba.

Johanna's painting "Farmstand" was used on the cover of the just published book by Merry Stetson Hall- BRINGING FOOD HOME: THE MAINE EXAMPLE. Bohoy in Book

Four packaging designs by Bohoy Design were featured in a new book “Color Management for Packaging” by John Drew & Sarah Meyer, California State University. All aspects of compelling communication through color in packaging are explored from issues of standout, impact and legibility, emotional response to color, and appetite rating.
